This seems to be a rather unusual issue.
It still looks like something external is stopping the games process, like either a driver crash, steam crash or security software is interrupting the game.
As we know that AVG makes trouble with the game, can you just try to disable it entirely and see if the game starts correctly?
If yes, please review your exceptions and apply it to the WFTO folder (not only executable).
If no, can you trigger the issue again and upload the log again (to see if it includes this time more informatiion about the problem).
Then please look in the windows event viewer if there is any error reported in the applications or system tab, which dates to right the moment you started the game.
If any please let us know which.

Hello again,
logically everything happening in our own code seems fine but it looks like there is a system specific issue with our UI middleware.
The logs link an URL to an issue tracker for the chromium engine http://crbug.com/45650[Coherent, which points to a problem with the OSX version of chromium.
The UI middleware is based on an older chromium version which still suffers from this issue.
We will try to contact the vendor and see if they can help.

What you describe and your logs look like it's either one or multiple of the follwoing issues:

1) The known issue with an Wireless USB Audio device.
(Try if by unpluging the device starts the game, if yes set you Headset/Headphones as system default audio device and make sure its configured as stero device, then try plug it in again and start the game)

2) You are using AVG Antivirus and their heuristic sees the game as false possitive.
(Add an exception for WFTOGame.exe or lower the aggressiveness setting for heuristic search)

3) Looks like you are using a notebook with switchable graphics solution but the game is not detected and thus it's using the slow integrated Intel GPU instead of your dedicated NVidia GPU.
(Follow steps in above link on this topic or here https://forum.subterraneangames.com/threads/solution-for-ui-does-not-show-or-game-is-very-slow.8665/, try if using launch options -force-d3d11 [for dx11 devices] or -force-d3d9 [for non dx10 devices] does fix and improve UI performance)

Just start the game with this parameter and then select your first screen.

I am sorry for answering late, but we have no Linux experts in the core team and we struggle right now to get in contact to experienced Linux users in our volunteer QA Team.
However maybe things which can be done on Windows translate to Linux, I just hope.
1) In Windows you can drag a pragram in windowed mode to any screen and then you can toggle it to fullscreen.
The OS remembers the screen the program was last running on and will always automatically start it on this one.
2) A second solution is to create a shortcut for the game (with steam) and drag it on the screen the program should open.
If the shortcut is opened from the wanted screen, this same screen is used to run the game by default.
3) At least in Windows its possible to hold down the right SHIFT key while clicking on "Play" in Steam. Just hold it down until a little configuration window opens which allows to select screen, set resolution and indowed/fullscreen mode before the game starts it self.

In Windows once you switched the screen successfully once, the program will always open on the same screen until the screen is manually switched again.

I hope any of this helps for now.
We still try to get hold on a Linux expert who should be able to help better.

Please let us know if it happens again and if you can provide us another log.
But maybe just a driver had a malfunction because the crash log points deep into Unity internals and with some luck it just needed a reboot to fix.
Anyway let us know if it is a reoccurring thing.

for other devs, this one is not the Wireless USB audio crash nor AVG antivirus false positive, so it might be an entirely new issue.

how often do you encounter these crashes? Did you encounter it again after a reboot?

We assure now that always the exact right amount of prisoners is brought to prison.

Multiple people who had a similar issue in the past solved it by reinstalling Steam.
