Hi Oleinikov,

Sorry for the delay in responding to you. We've been very busy for the past few weeks and I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the game crashing.

A Blue Screen of Death would suggest that something is happening to cause the Windows Kernel to hard crash, this isn't something that should be happening and it suggests that something closer to the metal is causing the issue. It shouldn't be possible for the program itself to cause this but it may be pushing your PC in an unusual way that is stressing a particular component and causing the issue.

My initial guesses would be an issue caused by heat, faulty memory stick, or faulty drivers.

A quick suggestion would be to run a torture test program such as Prime95 which will highly stress your CPU and Memory for a few hours to see if it causes the issue to appear. If you'd like instructions on how to do that ask me in the reply. :)

Please can you provide a full dxdiag output from your PC as well. You can do this by typing Dxdiag into your search bar on the start menu, waiting for the program to load and then clicking "save all information".

Hope we can help identify the cause of the problem,

Lee

I'm told this should be resolved in the latest internal versions.

Hi Ontos,

Can you confirm the circumstances that lead to this situation. Were these shrines owned from the start of the match, were they claimed in the meantime?

Can you confirm there are no spawned banshees on the map? Nether Shrines are only meant to spawn Banshees when their banshees are not alive.

Cheers,

Lee

Hi Enkerzan,

Thanks for this report and apologies for the delay in our review. I've marked this as a ticket that needs to be looked at by our QA Analyst. In the meantime if you could provide additional information on how we can replicate this issue that would be fantastic. Screenshots or a video in particular would be incredibly useful.

Cheers,

Lee

Hi Enkerzan,

Sorry for the delay in reviewing your ticket we've been very busy recently and not been able to go through the backlog. I can confirm that we're currently looking into AI performance and hoping to optimize some issues with the AI itself. So I can confirm we're looking into that.

What we'd be really interested in though is the crashes which this is causing for you as we've not had many similar reports and some more in-depth things for us to investigate would be fantastic.

Would you be able to provide output logs from a session where you've suffered a crash from this and also the save file mentioned which was causing a crash quickly. You can find instructions on how to locate these things here: How to: Submit a Bug Ticket

Output logs from any ungraceful crashes should also be available in dated specific folders in your game folder.

Cheers,

Lee

As described above this is part of the stalemate mechanic. It's a visual demonstration that they are not able to harm the other player as they are busy attacking other Underhills.

Hi Blink,

It's difficult to say what's happening here but we don't support custom levels directly. It's most likely this is an issue with the setup of the custom levels themselves and from reading the workshop page for the campaign it seems that redownloading the campaign can resolve the issue, which suggests perhaps an incorrect setup on some of the scripts that for some reason has not been pulled in an automatic update.

We're definitely open to supporting issues with the new tools especially if the map maker reaches out with the problem. So I'd suggest trying to re-download the campaign as suggested then asking the creator if he's up for getting in touch for specific investigation into these issues.

Cheers,

Lee

Hi Ontos,

I'm afraid I can't comprehend the issue from your report. I'm not sure what I'm looking at which isn't working. Though I can see the Nether Shrines in the video and that there's no Banshee's around what is meant to be happening here that currently isn't?

Are you able to locate the banshees in question?

Cheers,

Lee

Hi Eversmile Convert,

I wanted to drop into this ticket to say we truly appreciate your input and a lot of these were very solid suggestions on how to improve the feel of the possession feature. Unfortunately as things have fallen and after careful investigation we've determined the time that would be required to address these issues would not be well spent in our pursuit of Patch 2.0.

We were hoping that with some of our spare time we could afford to look into and implement at least a few of these but sadly it is not to be. Although we could technically keep this ticket open indefinitely we didn't want to offer false hope towards the potential for these to make it into a future release, as right now we are looking towards Patch 2.0 as the final major release of WFTO.

With all that said possession is a feature I'm sure we would want to revisit in any potential sequel so if one day we were to work on a WFTO 2 then we would definitely be looking at a few of these suggestions on where to take this feature in the future.

I apologize that we will not be able to complete this ticket and once again I'd like to reiterate that we appreciate your feedback.

Cheers,

Lee

Hi Zimberzimber,

Unfortunately after reviewing this issue with the Code Team today this issue is not going to see a fix within the remaining development of WFTO. There's a number of reasons for this but primarily it's simply a matter of resources spent vs value of fix. Simply put the issue is deeply ingrained in old code and to resolve it would require considerable resources that unfortunately will not be available to us moving forwards. When weighed against spending our resources on other higher priority issues or new features we have to make a choice that benefits the most players.

We didn't want to leave this in limbo so as such we're now going to close this ticket as not fixable.

We know it's not desirable for issues like these to remain in game and we want to always endeavor to ensure that player experience is the best it can be. But realistically there are some issues which we won't be able to address so we want to ensure that expectations from our community align with that.

Thanks for the report and I apologize that we will not be fixing this issue. Please feel free to get in touch if you have questions. :)
