It certainly does look like an oversight, nice find!

He asked me on discord to set it as complete... but fine, leave it as pending if you want..

As requested i'll make this as complete for now, if you need anymore help feel free to give us a shout on the forums or make a new ticket :)

Sounds like you broke the game's scripting by not using the freeze potion, to me atleast. If the game script has broken then it will require a restart (and properly completing objectives in order) to get past it without the same problem.

If you still have the save file then yes that would be great. Can you also possibly link us to the map itself on the steam workshop?

Hi Jck2381

Can you also upload your system specs? This guide will help you,

Thanks

Yes, im saying that WFTO can easily use 7-8GB of RAM on highest settings on some of the larger maps/more complex campaign levels.

As Cian said though, we need your full system specs in order to be narrow it down.

Judging from what you've said so far, it definitely sounds like a memory issue. Saving the game is also a massively memory intensive process (and in this case it sounds like that caused the crash), it looks like the game ran out of memory during the saving process meaning that the save didn't manage to finish.

I think the only real solution we can offer is the one you've found yourself, reduce the texture quality. It seems your system can't handle game at Ultra quality.

No problem, have fun playing :)

Hi Johnny,

Sorry you're having problems, there is currently a Unity related issue causing the game's cutscenes to fail. We're awaiting a fix from Unity themselves (which is taking a while) so there isn't much we can do about it until then other than ask affected people to skip the cutscenes.

So in the mean time you can find an "disable cutscenes" option in the options screen which should allow you to skip the custcene and get into the campaign.

Hope that helps.
