Thank you again  Stavros,

this information will be very helpful when we get in contact with a GOG dev tomorrow.

We will let you know as early we know more.

Stay tuned and thanks a lot for being very helpful in narrowing the issue down!

I can not reproduce this, neither on the map save you attached nor on another map I tried.

Seems I can always remove my selection with one click without issues.

Might it be that you had an AI player playing for yourself when you recorded the video and that AI player was messing with your selection?

Thanks Stavros,

we figured that GalaxyCSharpGlue.dll is missing a dependency which is usually present on user systems but nor on yours somehow.
The most systems affected by this problem are Chinese but we do not know what exactly makes the difference yet.

To find out what is missing on your end, please run dependency walker on GalaxyCSharpGlue.dll like Cian explained above and upload the generated .dwi file.

This should give us a deeper an insight what is missing exactly to make it work and then we can hopefully assure that we distribute all required dependencies correctly in future versions of the game, so that no one needs to suffer from this problem again.

Thanks for your help to find the cause of this issue.

I spawned now a worker for player 1 (the bridge owner) on the bridge tile, but it does behave correctly.

What was happening in your video is not  hapening anymore.

I can not see any problem with how it currently behaves.
So I guess it is fixed by now?

Oh this ticket must have been forgotten in the past somehow. I am sorry for that.

I just loaded your save game but can not see any worker doing what was happened in the video.

Maybe it got silently fixed meanwhile.

Can you load your own save file and confirm it is still an issue? For me it seems it is not.

Cheers

This would only help, if using this map guarentees that the issue occurs so we can debug it.

I took conversation by torture into account, but there is code which should handle that case correctly.

It would be interesting to know how to trigger this problem in a reproducable manner.

Otherwise I tap in the dark, because the code at least looks like it should work in all cases.

Hello Ontos,
by looking at the code, this _should_ not be possible under no circumstances.

Do you have any idea how we could reproduce this issue?

Thanks

Hello bt132,

make sure that you tried all solutions provided in this knowledge base article:

http://brightrockgames.userecho.com/topics/1096-missing-invisible-or-laggy-ui/

Does none of them fix your problem?

It seems like either your Catalyst Control Center is not installed correctly or your notebook vendor (HP) disallowed certain advanced settings for your CPU.

In this case HP should provide an alternative way to configure switchable graphics, so that the game runs on your dedicated GPU.

It would be good to know which dedicated GPU do you have next to your onboard Intel HD graphics chip?
The above system screenshot doesn't mention it at all.

Cheers
