Potential map editor oversights

Three small idiosyncrasies I noticed when using the map editor, I am not sure whether or not these are intended:


1 - Temple guards are spawned with 60 experience:

Note that changing their level seems to fix this.


2 - There are two sappers in the map editor:

3 - Gold is not deleted from the minimap if it is removed using the Earth tile rather than the 'remove gold' tile. Moving the screen away fixes this:

Nope you didn't misunderstand me, I just typed it out wrong haha


Either way it looks like the minimap isn't being updated correctly which probably is an oversight.

Thanks for the quick reply. By the way, as a side note, I find it somewhat impossible to change the level/faction etc. of a minion placed inside an arena in the map editor. The cursor keeps selecting the arena instead.


Also: regarding #3, the 'remove gold' tool was not used. I attempted to place an Earth tile on top of the gold (apologies if I misunderstood you).

Hi Webbernever,


#1 - That does sound like a small bug.

#2 - As far as I know there are 2 (slightly) different variants of the Sapper, each with different behaviour (although I think one of them was only used for a HoG campaign level so possibly isn't meant to be available in the editor).

#3 - Pretty sure that happens because the "remove gold" tool doesn't force the minimap to update like the terrain tools do.


Either way it's probably worth sending this through for a review by the code team although I expect it will probably end up as low priority for now.
