Game progress lost

Hello,

unfortunatly some of my progress on chapter 6 and all of my progress on chapter 7 has been lost in the game. I previously had to redo chapter 6 because it didn't count as complete even though I completed everything and reached a 5 star rating. It counted after I redid the chapter. After I finished the chapter I finished chapter 7 also with a 5 star rating - see achivements. Today when entering the game chapter 6 was stuck as none completed again. Eventhough the main story is already completed. The chapter ist also back to a 4.9 rating. Any progress with chapter 7 was completly lost. The build is definitely the on where I replayed the level and I'm completly sure I saved the progress multiple times through chapter 7 and after finishing it.

Can I get the progress back? And how to insure this doesn't happen again?

Reviewing the files, I suspect there is an issue around either file write / access or a cloud issue. Either the game tries to save to disk and it fails, or once on disk it's not uploading correctly to cloud (and reverted next Steam cloud sync). Can we check there is no anti virus meddling with the save folder ? Is the save folder in a non conventional location (like a cloud folder on OneDrive). Have you got lot of saves ? (It should be hard to hit the steam cloud limit but worth a check)

Normally saves are stored here : C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Brightrock Games\Galacticare\Saves

I tried the given methode. This allowed me to complete chapter 6. Only for the same thing to happen with chapter 7 again. I would prefere not to have to use this methode with every chapter I complete.

are there any new updates on this issue? I really want to continue playing, but I currently don't because the progress will most likeley be lost again.
