Unopened hospital does not compensate staff!

Bit of a fun one. Before clicking the "open hospital" button, your doctors are not salaried. Meaning, you have plenty of time to put them through training and to do research for free.

The version number does not show in the games menu. A bug in itself i guess? Anyways, latest version on Xbox gamepass

I have news from the team - What you described is an intended feature. Our developers decided to leave it out in the game as it is not something game-breaking and takes a lot of time in-game to achieve. So enjoy these boosts!

Sure thing. Attaching a few screenshots.

shows a hospital with a level 3 doctor, training room and staff room.

shows that ive now trained the doctor to level 5, without opening the hospital

shows that as the hospital has not been opened, no salaries are being paid.

shows that i can also do research without opening the hospital. 

As a result, i could theoretically train a whole bunch of doctors up to level 5 and finish all research projects before opening the hospital.


Expectation would be either that salaries are being paid even before the hospital opens (i think this is what they do in theme hospital/two point), or that training/research cannot be done before hospital opens. 


Not a game breaking bug by any means, but probably not working as planned :)

Found the version in the Gamepass app now. 1.0.23.0
