On Room-Move outside decorations / windows disappearing

Not sure if bug or feature. Certainly annoying, especially when accidentally moving the room.

I suppose this is due the outside decorations not being part of the room itself, but rather the "Corridor" "Room" outside. Why the windows are also affected I do not know. Is there a difference between room-edit windows and generally implented windows when you're not in room-edit mode but just do it in general from "the corridor" so to speak? - Might explain in case some windows stay and others don't, have not paid enough attention to whether windows stay in certain circumstances, but disappear they certainly do.

It'd be less of a hassle if the room being moved would only check for whether its outside decorations are invalid when set, similar to how the move threatens other corridor objects on the outside.

Hey!

I appreciate you reporting so many bugs, that is awesome to see you being so invested in Galacticare. For any future bug reports, I kindly ask you to include the game files from the debug mode as it is required to have the bug investigated. You can find the instructions on how to generate those files HERE

Once I have the files, I can go ahead and forward them to our developers. If it is not much of a hassle, can I ask you to do the same on every recent thread you have created for bug reports? I really will appreciate that!

Best,

Dominik

Those weren't generating the previous days, which also means I can't file them about them not being generated.

I'll see what comes out in the future, and if they do, hopefully be able to remember when I hit that button for what bug.

edit: Most things I mentioned seemed to have been very general issues or could just be deduced what the cause is from observation (like the disappearing windows). I'm surprised some issues slipped through the playtesting phase. But then, release day always comes a day too soon ;)

Unfortunately, no matter how much time we playtest something, there is always a chance we will miss something small. I am thankful for your reports and hopefully, we will be able to fix all the small bugs in the upcoming patch fixes.

I will be forwarding this bug report nonetheless to our team even without files so we can try to reproduce the mentioned bug.

Best,

Dominik

Hi n h,

Unfortunately there’s a technical reason why this is case, basically the objects are considered corridor objects and when moving the room they no longer have a wall, hence their disappearance. We’ll be looking at finding a solution to this but it is a non-trivial fix.

We’ll keep you posted if/when we look into this issue.

Thanks!
