Good day!

Recently bought and installed the game. After splashscreen get 2nd window minimized, when I change focus on it, I inly get blackscreen and mouse pointer with circle. If I push any button, there is a message that WFTO_Game.exe is not responding.

I've already checked this topic:

https://support.brightrockgames.com/knowledge-bases/2/articles/4394-black-screen-on-startup-on-linux-windows-post-20-update

I have the latest Win10x64 build 2004 with all updates installed.

GPU Nvidia GeForce 980Ti

CPU i7-6700K

on output_log nothing special.

Any suggestions?

Hi Сергей Кушнир,

Sorry to hear you're having issues running the game. Here's a few thoughts:

  1. Sometimes when the game is booted after installation for the first time it can take a while for it to load, especially if it is installed to a HDD. Try leaving it for up to 10 minutes (a long time, we just want to be sure) just to see if anything changes, don't interact with it or unminimize the window. The version of Unity the game is built upon doesn't have extensive support for parallel loading so it can appear to the OS as though it is not responding when it is actually working. You can probably verify this by checking CPU and Disk usage in task manager.
  2. If you don't see any changes after several minutes then I'd like you to update your ticket with the details we require including your output log and system specs. How to: Submit a Bug Ticket

Hope that helps,

Lee

Lol it's actually worked. Went to take shower and left the blackscreen running, returned - the game was in main menu :) Thanks for the help.

Great stuff!

Yeah WFTO can take some time to boot, it's usually better after the first boot though the first boot each day will take a while. Long load times are an issue with many games on that version of the Unity Engine it's something we're looking to improve with future titles :)
