UI problems in latest patch

After loading a save game - no tabs except rituals and units, escape doesn't bring up a menu.

When loading a save game only unit tab is available and escape key will not work.

Am having the same issue with the same output_log errors. Can't open the pause menu with escape, so I have to use the menu button. The menu will open, but the buttons either don't work properly or don't work at all and then I have to alt-f4 out of the game because both Exit buttons are broken.
