Low framerate in the last mission of main campaign

Hello

Few days ago I've finished main campaign in War for the Overworld. At some point, in the last mission  (I think it was once I've started exploring main part of hero dungeon, the one behind magical barier), game became laggy to the point I had literally slide show, pretty much around 1 fps. I had to change game speed to 50% to make game at least remotely playable and finish that mission. I've checked my my video card settings (Nvidia GF GTX 1050 Ti) to see if power management settings aren't set to power saving (I've noticed that MSI Afterburner shows that during game GPU is underclocked to 900 MHz) and changed to maximum performance, the same thing I did for power management settings for Windows. Nothing helped. I'm running latest game build available on GOG Galaxy (1.6.5F1).

My PC

Windows 7 64bit

AMD Ryzen 3 1200 @3,1GHz

8GB RAM DDR4-2400 (single channel)

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 (MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GT OC 4GB GDDR5)

motherboard ASRock AB350 Pro4

I've checked temperatures, GPU max temperature is 55* Celsius.

Game Version:
GOG Galaxy
Platform:
Windows

Hello Mateusz Saczka,

in such cases it is always useful to upload an output_log (to see if any errors did occur frequently) and a save game when the game did lag (to reproduce the issue).
Can you upload these two to make it easier to investigate?
Here is how to do that:

Hello

Sure, I hope I've uploaded proper files in case of save (I don't see any information in KB about location of save files in case of GOG version)

13 equilibrium_20171113144008

13 equilibrium_20171113144008.meta

output_log.txt

(I'm aware I have lots of creatures at that rally flag, but game started lagging once I've started scouting hero dungeon and I don't have earlier save file)

I've checked all temperatures, only GPU temperature goes above 40* Celsius (it's 45, not 55, the latter is maximum load on GPU in %)

Hello again,
so the output_log was uploaded directly after having the lag without restarting the game?

If yes, then I can at least say that no error was occuring frequently which would explain the lag.
I am gonna take a look at your save file.

Seems your save game does indeed show lag.

This might be some regression, with the empire patrols failing to find a sleeping place in a loop after the entire map is revealed.

But we will have to investigate a bit deeper where this comes from exactly.

Thanks for providing this save game which shows an issue we can profile to find the cause.

We are getting back to you once we know more.

We found the root cause.
It was your prisoners which all together tried to find lair in a loop but failing obviously.
(You can test this by getting a rid of your prisoners and the lag will go instantly away)
They simply should not do this as it can never succeed and we prevented them to do so in the past.
However this check was overrun by a recent change, so it is indeed a regression.

We will get this lag issue fixed for next patch.

In my test the lag is instantly gone if prisoners only try to find rats when they are hungry and do query for nothing else.

Thanks a lot for providing a save game allowing us to quickly find the cause of these lags.

Cheers
