Lockshackle. Can't use enemies in prison

Map Lockshackle from My pet dungeon.

When I captured 2 prisons from the empire, inside I discovered several imperial units. I can not take them in hand, I can not use them for blood money. But I can hit them with lightning.

This is normal?

Hey all,

Unfortunately after reviewing this issue with the Code Team today this issue is not going to see a fix within the remaining development of WFTO. There's a number of reasons for this but primarily it's simply a matter of resources spent vs value of fix, we're not entirely sure as to the cause of this issue but one thing is sure; the issue is deeply ingrained and to resolve it would require considerable resources that unfortunately will not be available to us moving forwards compared to spending our resources on other higher priority issues or new features.

We didn't want to leave this in limbo so as such we're now going to close this ticket as not fixable.

We know it's not desirable for issues like these to remain in game and we want to always endeavor to ensure that player experience is the best it can be. But realistically there are some issues which we won't be able to address so we want to ensure that expectations from our community align with that.

Thanks for the report and I apologize that we will not be fixing this issue. Please feel free to get in touch if you have questions.

This happened to me on mission 3 of HoG campaign. My savegame. On the west edge of the map there is a prison with a huntress that I can not pick up but I can hit her with lightning. To the east of it there is another prison with a templar that I can't pick up.

This has happened to me on a few occasions as well. The empire creatures appear to be physically inside the prison, unable to leave or attack my minions, but not "imprisoned" (so I can't pick them up, Blood Money them, and so on). In order to resolve it, I generally have to sell prison tiles in order to place them outside the bars, at which point they start behaving like a proper Empire unit again.

I'll see if I can come up with a reliable repro case.

A developer might be able to shine some light on the cause. We will keep you both posted on what we discover

It often happens when you load a save, as far as I can tell. For example, one of MPD maps has porkzilla imprisoned and surrounded by guards. Sometimes when you load a save, it's not inside the prison any longer, and walks around the prison together with guards (being neutral creature, thus they don't attack it). But if you load the same save again, everything's fine.

As if at some point of loading the save creatures can more freely, ignoring things like prison walls.

I dont know. For all the time that I play in the WFTO, I saw only 2 cases and they both appeared on the Lockshackle map in one game session. But I can only speak for myself.

Perhaps the common part is that my workers claimed the prison of the enemy while the battle was near the prison.

Perhaps something was broken in the logic of grabbing the enemy in unconsciousness and dragging into prison (which is not mine yet).

But I'm not sure.

Have either of you noticed anything in common with each occurrence? Is there anything you do that seems to make this happen more frequnetly?

In this case their bodies stay inside, and you can't imprison them for real.

My solution is to kill enemies with lightning.
