Saving broken on ps5

I've played and loved Galacticare on xbox with no issues at all but I recently switch to PS5 and wanted to play one of my favourite games again. I brought game, supporter's pack and the DLC. However once I completed the main storyline saving just stopped working even in the mainline story levels. I lost all my challenge level progress and unlocks that I wanted to do before starting the DLC, the DLC similarly will not manually save and the ps5 wont upload to the cloud saving unless the game in closed defeating the propose of me trying that. Interestingly and I am not sure if related but the ps5 says I haven't even stated playing the game while also recording how many hours I've played in each level. The only "solution" I can see is never closing the game which has a few issues but one directly relating to Galaticare is that sometimes for some reason the triangle buttons input won't be register and the only fix I found for that is closing and opening the game. Also there have been weird lighting graphical issues relating to the "retro meteors" and the let me just double check...I'm trying to find it but found something else  relating to saving issues chapter two which you can see in my screenshot when I open it it acting like its the first time I've opened the map. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the game and nothing has changed.
