PS5 not saving progress

I've been playing Galacticare for a few weeks without any issues or crashes.

Last night finished Chapter 9 unlocked all the trophies associated with it including the retro skin and 5 star.

Closed the game and loaded it up the next day to do the challenge version and none of the progress had been saved.

Tried the level again and if I return to the menu and then re-enter the level the progress is still there but as soon as I close and reopen the game the progress is reset to 2 days ago before I did Chapter 9. Its like the game isn't saving the game state but when I look at the save data in the system it is updated with the latest time and date as if it saved correctly
