Lost saved game on Steam Cloud
Hi,
At first thanks a lot for this wonderful game. I am a huge fan of the classic Theme Hospital, and i am really fond of Galacticare.
I used to play with Steam on my Windows, everything was fine.
Yesterday i tried to install steam on my Ubuntu with proton.
It works.
But, when i launched Galacticare on my ubuntu, i lose all my progression.
When i start the game in Windows, i also lost my progression.
Steam cloud was enable... I guess my Proton Galacticare save on the cloud an empty game.
And when i started the game on windows, it overrides my saved game with the empty one.
I had a look on https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp
But my saved game is lost, the cloud just show me the "empty save".
Is it possible to for you to recover my Galacticare last good save ? I ve lost more than 30 hours of game.
I had a look in Steam cloud_log file and i think the last good one was at : 2025-06-03 09:12:06.
I know it's a Steam cloud issue at first, but Steam told me they can't do anything.
I wonder if u ve copies of some saved games on your servers.

The issue you describe sounds harrowing and I'm so sorry that you've experienced it.
Unfortunately we do not host any of your saves on our servers, these would only be local to your pc or synced to Steam Cloud, so in this case if your Steam Cloud has truly overwritten your local save with an empty save then it's very likely there's no means to recover the file.
At a stretch, The files are usually located at %localappdata%low\brightrock games\galacticare on windows if you have something like file history enabled you might be able to rollback the profile and saves. But the chances are very slight.
