WFTO 7-10-18 crash report.zip
WFTO 7-9-18 crash report.zip

Have verified integrity of files through Properties and game has applied most recent 2.0.1/2.0.2/2.0.3 updates, but none of these fixes will let me progress easily or save any of my Goldrust progress without closing both WFTO & occasionally Steam. I just found my crash report files this evening and I hope that I submit them ok and you can help me out. But it's really starting to frustrate me that I can play without too much lag, but I can't save any of my progress! :(

Hi Trinket_16,

Sorry to hear about the crashes. My initial impression from the crash logs is that the Graphics Device is falling over for some reason, it seems that the game is being loaded on an Intel Inbuilt Graphics Device rather than a dedicated 3D Graphics Card, but reading these logs isn't my area of expertise. I'll make sure this gets seen by our QA Analyst and we review them appropriately.

Would you also be able to provide us with your DXDiag output? How To: Generate a DXDiag Report.

Cheers,

Lee

Thanks for the input! That's the same thing my hubby said was that it was probably graphics card related as I don't have a straight gaming computer/laptop...I'm just using a regular HP laptop that does have Intel...but my graphics settings are already on the lowest suggested settings for lag/loading issues so there's not much more I can do there. And the lag isn't what's irritating me as this game has ALWAYS been laggy for me on my laptop, hence the reason my hubby suggested I use the lowest graphics settings.

What seems to be causing the crashing is using either method ("Move On" via Pet Dungeon tab or "Remain"/"Move On" pop-up window) to try to move to the next dungeon (Deepwater to Goldrust). I got on last night and I was able to get Goldrust to load AFTER it registered my Deepwater victory screen and I accessed it via the "Single Player" main menu option. The dungeon loaded and the play was fairly smooth and not very laggy, but whenever I would try to save the dungeon's progress, it would completely close WFTO & Steam down without giving me any other crash reports. :/

I just really like playing this game and HATE the fact that I basically can't play it. The developers need to take into account that not everyone has or can afford to invest in a dedicated 3D graphics card. My hubby invested in an alienware computer a few yrs ago so he can run just about anything on Steam, but it's specifically designed to handle gaming; mine's not. :( Just hope something can done so I can actually play it without having to invest more money into my laptop that I don't just have lying around to do so! ;) hehe

P.S. I will try to do what I can on that DXDiag thing! hehe

Just received this crash report while playing. Will look into DXDiag in a bit.

Hey trinket_16,

Could you please try and use DDU(Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove your graphics drivers and then install the latest from your manufacture?

Let us know if that helps.
