Cannot claim neutral creatures - they appear on map but not in game

In several game instances, creatures and units appear on the mini map, but do not show in-game. EG Snowhope in my pet dungeon requires you to rescue 6 heroes, only two physicaly appeared for me, but the neutral indicators still show, have tried selling and replacing prison, nothing happens.

Hello Anadinolin,

the current public version of the game has a bug, which causes units which die by other causes than an enemy attack to not be removed from the minimap.
We fixed ths issue internally and a new minor patch is already on it's way.
But it is worrying that these prisoners died actually, because they shouldn't while they are in the prison.

Do you have any idea how this could have possibly happened?
