Game won't start | win 10

Hi! Just bought the game yesterday and sadly realised that after pressing play, the WFTO logo appears then a black screen + windows mouse and nothing happens - i can alt-tab from this or alt-f4 to close it.

So far other games in my steam lib work fine.

I have read a few topics so that I might find a solution, so far nothing :

What I have tried so far :

1. verifying game cache

2. delete game + install game

3. run it administrator

4. run both .exe in win 7 compatibility

5. tried to install net framework 4.5.2 but it appears i had it already or a newer version

6. reboot pc

7. turn off antivirus (avira free)

8. close all background programs - only nvidia experience, steam and avira (offline) remain in taskbar

9. pet my cat to calm myself and maybe think of another possible solution


my pc config is :


win 10 pro x64, i7-2600 @3.4Ghz, 8Ghz RAM, nVidia 560Ti

Well when looking into the logs it stillseems our UI middleware has issues with your graphics driver.

A few interesting points:

  • "[Coherent Browser] (Warning) PID: 26440 | 31796 15:49:52.420884 Shared textures are not properly supported on Windows 7 without Service Pack 1. Please install the latest service pack.

You said you have windows 10, but is it fully updated? Did recently windows update fail?
(I would be surprised but this error points to something is missing)

Otherwise it is still the graphics card which is not recognized correctly:

Thus I would suggest to uninstall and reinstall your NVidia drivers as it might be caused by a previous installation that failed.
If this doesn't fix it, then we need to contact the middleware producer and let them take a look.

PS.:
Please do not copy and paste output logs into the text area for posts.
