MacOS Sierra Crash on startup

smykul 3 years ago updated by Stefan Furcht (Programmer) 3 years ago 5

Crash on startup using MacOS Sierra, seems to be an issue with unity? (have had a whole host of problems with other unity games too since updating to Sierra, mostly being unable to "click" anything in the game menus, but WFTO fails to even get past the loading screen).

My Machine is a 2015 15" rMBP with the AGPU option (the latest iteration at the time of writing). More details on my machine are in the MacOS generated crash report (Only Player.log was in the Unity Logs folder)

The game was running fine before I upgraded the OS.

Thanks.

Hi Smykul,

Sorry to hear about your issue with the game since upgrading your OS. I've passed on your logs onto the code team for review.

In the meantime I think the first steps for you to try would be to attempt a full reinstall of the game via Steam in case for some reason the OS change has caused some unusual behavior.

Let us know how you get on in the meantime I'll bring your logs up for review. Hope we can get you back in the game soon.

Cheers,

Lee

This is a problem, seems you suffer this issue
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=626534
and our UI middleware "Coherent UI" is using Chromium to render our UI.
We do not know if and when this middleware gets updated to a new chromium version again.
Maybe when you upgrade the OS again it will work again,
otherwise it might take a while before it can be fixed,
because it is not directly in our hands.

Sorry for all inconvenience.

Our director is using OSX Sierra in the newest version and it works fine for him.
Are you fully updated and still have this issue?
