Laggy Experience
Hey there,
I understand the laggy UI is a pretty common issue (especially on laptops) but the topics I found regarding this were ~2 years old, so I thought I'd try here. My laptop isn't high-end but it usually runs games just fine, but I rarely experience such long loading times and UI lagging. Any help would be appreciated!

btw I tried forcing DX 11 but it didn't help
Hey Lior,
What exactly are you experiencing?
Does your laptop not have a dedicated Video Card? Do you only have the Intel Video Card?
It's pretty much as described in this post for example: https://support.brightrockgames.com/communities/1/topics/2710-laggy-interface
The game itself runs smoothly once it runs, but loading times are very slow and there's a significant lag before I get to the main menu or start a game.
I'm not sure but I think I only have the Intel video card and not a dedicated one. I tried updating the drivers via Intel's website, but the video card wasn't updated.
Is there something that could be done? Maybe adjusting the graphics somehow?
When you say "significant lag" do you mean loading time or the entire UI is slow to respond when clicking on it?
The issue in that ticket was that every button in the UI had a 1-2 second delay when clicked on, is that what you're experiencing?
You can attempt the steps here but I think it's unlikely there's a lot we can do in this case: Missing, Invisible or Laggy UI [Fixed in v2.0]
So no I don't have any button delay. It's just what I described above plus another lag once it finished loading right before the main menu comes up or right before I start a game.
Again the game itself runs smoothly and just fine once it's on, but waiting for so long before playing is frustrating. Do you have any idea what might be causing it? Is my video card not strong enough?
No, it's just the game loading, the game has to load every asset before it reaches the main menu.
I'm not sure why it takes so long for you. I just tried it on my computer and got 50 seconds when launching from an SSD and 72 Seconds when launching from an HDD. Does that sound much different from what you get?
You may get better loading times on minimum video settings.
Typically the speed of your hard drive will determine the length of loading the game
