"5 star challenge mode" on map "Many me" is basically impossible
Galacticare Debug Save samedi 19 avril 2025....zip
Joined the save to show the hospital, so you can see I'm a good player (at least good enough to have gotten those "challenge five stars" on all other levels. And usually decently fast after the story part ends no less!), and my hospital is well organized.
The idea here is that having 5 stars in challenge mode on this map is way, way too hard. I could never do it before 1.2. And i still can't do it now after the "rebalancing". And, to set things straight : I am playing on a full-unlock save. Meaning I have access to level 10 consultants, all the artifacts, and all kind of "privileges" that should make this easier.
But despite all of this, the problem I have on this map is ALWAYS patient happiness/mood : I am forever stuck at 88-89%. But no way to reach the 90% I need to actually get those dang 5 stars.
On other maps, hiring doctors with the buff "nearby people are happier" helps get above that hurdle, but here, it's impossible to do it, as no starting "Ohdious clone doctor" actually has this trait.
I wasted at least 10 hours on this map in many retries. this is just ridiculous. The game really could use a little bit of rebalcing so patient mood isn't that hard to get above 90%. Or, maybe, make us start this map with a doctor that has the "nearby people are happier" trait, so we can clone that guy and maybe win without pulling our hair out.
Improved hospital further. Removing one recovery ward and trying to adjust number of rooms according to demand. ...Still no 5 stars.
Note that this achievement has the lowest "rate of obtention" among all the achievements for the base game on steam. And people might have gotten it in past versions and/or with cheat tools, too...
The difficulty is overall pretty close to on point on most maps since the last patch. But this one? Yeah. maybe it needs a little more adjusting.
Patient mood should be easier to get to 90%+ and maintain there, IMHO. It should start slightly higher and decay slower. Also, give us another tool to increase patient mood, maybe? Maybe one of those new lab projects like the one that says "Increase starting health of patients coming to the hospital", but that would do so for mood?
It's just enraging to be stuck at "1 or 2% mood too low" for hours, despite feeling like you've done everything you can to improve the hospital. That's not "challenge" here. that's just bad balance. And an insanely frustrating experience that sours the fun you had until that point.
