Artefacts not unlocking properly

I got to level 5 with Colossals. I unlocked Baz' Lucky Tooth. However, it's not showing up in the Artefacts list of my inventory. I did somehow manage to make it show ONCE, but as I was dealing with another bug at the time where touching a stuck doctor in my research lab would instantly crash the game I didn't actually get to set the tooth down anywhere, and now it's not showing up anymore.

Thanks for sharing this info with us and sorry you're having issues with the game! Are you able to also get a screen recording/screenshots of this? It also seems like we may need you generate debug files!

Debug files provide critical information that may help us identify and fix issues that you report to us. In most cases we will ask you to provide these key files

These files contain:

  • A Save Game made at the moment the command is inputted
  • Your 3 most recent autosaves
  • Your progression data (The Player Profile)
  • A log file containing outputs from the game's debug tools
  • A screenshot taken of the state of the game when the input is given

All data is anonymised.

Step by Step

While the game is running, and as recent to the issue as possible (ideally with it currently ongoing)

  1. Pause the Game
  2. Input Ctrl + Shift + F7, this will generate your debug files
  3. Locate your Debug .zip Files, these will be located at:
    1. C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\LocalLow\Brightrock Games\Galacticare
    2. Your debug files will be in zip file named "Galacticare Debug Save" plus the time and date the files were generated

Please note that generating these files can take up to a minute depending on your machine's hardware.

I managed to get to place Baz' tooth by doing that as the very first thing after loading my game. However, went back after dinner today, loaded in, and it's not showing in my artefacts list again. Saved game should load in staring straight at the tooth on display. Galacticare Debug Save 9. april 2025 19_33_14.zip Apologies for the mess on the floor, I have saboteur issues.

There are a lot of weird things going on with artefacts in general. One time, when reloading a save, I just couldn't see any of them anymore. Another, they were shown as "available" even though I had placed them in the hospital already, etc, etc...

There's clearly something wrong going on here.
