Crashes at random times during gameplay

culiojulio 10 months ago updated 10 months ago 2

Hi

Win 10 64-bit
16GB RAM
FX-8300
GTX-780
Untold Depths Part 2.0.8

I've installed using the latest files for Ultimate edition from GOG and am experiencing crashes at random times during gameplay.   It seems to occur at random times, sometimes within the first few seconds, other times after 45 minutes or more.

I have antialiasing turned off and only playing on medium textures.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks

Hi,

Looking through the log I spotted this sequence of errors. Looks like a pretty nasty Unity rendering issue. Assuming your graphics drivers are up to date I'm not sure what to suggest for the moment.

d3d11: attempt to lock null buffer
d3d11: failed to create buffer (target 0x1 mode 3 size 40440) [0x887A0005]
Crash!!!

You could try seeing if you experience the same problems using d3d9 and openGL Renderers.

Try adding these launch arguments (one at a time):

-force-d3d9

-force-glcore45

Hopefully that helps, though you may lose a little fidelity, especially in d3d9 mode.

Cheers,

Hi Lee

Many thanks for your suggestions.

I will give these a try and see how I get on.
