UI Performance - Detail Unit View causes noticeable slowdown

"Another thing i noticed is that when there is small amount of UI elements the game feels smoother. For instance, when i switch from the units tab to spells (and there's only a few spells researched), it feels smoother. I can't get any FPS counter to work in game, so i couldn't measure it, but maybe you can try. Start one level, play it a lot, and just never research any spells. Then switch from unit view to spells when there's a lot of units to see if it makes any difference." - Vepar

Replication Steps:

  1. Open a level with god mode and place lots of units of different types
  2. Open the unit panel
  3. Switch to one of the detail views. Observe the reduction in framerate.

Confirming this ticket was raised by me having split from https://brightrockgames.userecho.com/communities/1/topics/5341-general-lag-and-stuttering-and-other-problems.

I have replicated the behaviour and observed a ~50% reduction in framerate when the detail view is enabled on my work PC.

Could be a performance issue with number of UI Elements in general via Coherent or some scripting on the unit panel. Note that Vepar indicated the performance is noticably different between the units and spells tab normally as well.
