AI Builds, sells, and rebuilds Underminers indefinitely

This bug is part of a series of bugs observed during watching 2 AIs fight eachother with fog of war off. This was accomplished by taking a 2 player map and adding a third core walled off with impenetrable rock, and starting a game with me in the third core and 2 AIs playing the default core locations.

The AI is bugged when trying to breach dungeons, in that every time I have observed the AI trying to build underminers, it sells them a few seconds after lighting them, and then builds them again, wasting money in the process and getting nothing done. Although the map included is a modded Seastead II, I have seen the AI have this issue in every map and every AI that wants to breach a dungeon with Underminers.

This was done on Seastead II, modded to have an extra core, and fog of war was turned off.

Hi DarkMatt,

Thanks for the report it certainly sounds quite interesting.

I'd just like to confirm that the AI who was defending was not placing Infernal Urns and activating them as the opposing AI was placing Underminers. Infernal Urns can be used to destroy enemy Underminers and to outside observation this could appear like they are being sold. (While testing to confirm my suspicions I noticed that the appearence of the Infernal Urn's use against Underminers does not look as intended and simply makes it look like the Underminers are disappearing instead of being destroyed.)

Cheers,

Lee

Hello Noontide. I will double-check when I can to see if the defending AI was building Urns or not. This will require I run another ai vs ai game again and pay close attention. Thank you for letting me know. I will post again once I have further infromation.

I wonder if the AI is getting confused/broken by having an enemy core it cannot reach (due to imp rock)?
