Laggy UI can't be solved

Hello,

I'm playing wfto on the latest surface pro (it has an intel integrated graphic chipset) and the UI is laggy when using directx 9. So I tried the troubleshooting for this issue : forcing directx 11 solves the issue but creates another one, I can't interact in the game (clicking has no effect in-game).

Forcing directx 12 just ends up in a black screen.

What can I do?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I've just had a closer look at your GPU and it looks like it falls far below minimum spec. As you can see here https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Intel+HD+4000&id=2 your GPU scores on average 453 points on the PassMark benchmark. This will be why you lag when running in Dx9, switching Dx version won't improve this.


Unfortunately War For the Overworld requires a minimum score of 1500 on the PassMark benchmark to run the game, as stated in our System Requirements. There's nothing we can really do to fix it other than recommending that you attempt to run in the absolute lowest video settings. I hope that you can find some way to enjoy the game, or an alternative machine to play on.
