Lockshackle: Beasts getting angry due to no den

I have been playing through several of the MPD maps (loving them, by the way), and have encountered an issue in Lockshackle. More specifically, while it's possible to free beasts in this map, one cannot build a beast den. And since they won't sleep in regular lairs, the beasts get angrier as time goes on. Would it be possible to prevent dens from spawning beasts, instead of disabling the entire room?

I found a work around for this. If you cast magical meat on said beasts, they will become happy. Magical meat restores their hunger and sleep needs

Hey Nova Solarius,


I think the best solution is to remove the beasts from the prison on the map, we will look at doing that for an upcoming patch.


In the mean time you'll just have to suffer through the naggy VO

Will do as well, as long as Mendechaus stops telling me to expand my beast den.

I just had no choice but to turn them into gold :(

But I figured it's intentional design, to teach players that sometimes you have to do it.

I tested it a bit more. Initially, when you just found them, beasts somehow ignore the sleeping need, as if they understand you can do nothing about it. Meaning sleep can go all the way to 0% and they still will be happy. But once you save and load the save, they kinda remember they need sleep too, and become unhappy over time.

I wonder if it's possible too keep this effect after loading a save.

Would It be possible to allow the player to build the beast den, but prevent any beasts from spawning (as if a player had toggled spawning off by clicking on the portal)
